Komyo Reiki Kai

Biography

I lived in Osaka, Japan for five years and while I was there I began studying Reiki. In the spring of 2004 I took the First Degree Reiki class (Shoden) of the Komyo Reiki Kai school founded by my teacher, a Buddhist monk called Rev. Hyakuten Inamoto. Since then, I have been studying and practicing Reiki healing, and I eventually became a Reiki Teacher so I could share the gift of Reiki with others.

I hold two degrees, a Bachelor of Arts (English Literature) from University of Northern British Columbia and
a Bachelor of Education (Curriculum Development) from Simon Fraser University. In December 2008 I completed a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma of Journalism with Thompson Rivers University.

In September 2006 I began a two-year journalism and public relations internship for the Canadian Reiki Association. I am currently teaching Reiki classes in Surrey, British Columbia, and I am a registered teacher with the Canadian Reiki Association.

Professional Association

I am a registered member of the Canadian Reiki Association, a non-profit organization committed to promoting ethical practices and teaching of Reiki, and encouraging professionalism and educational standards for all members.
